In the field of organization and management research, leaders are always is the focus of researchers’ study, while the attention on followers and follower-ship is obviously inadequate. With the progress of science and technology development, the environment of organizational management has changed dramatically, the roles of low-level employees in organization is increasingly important. Leaders in organization are increasingly dependent on empower to the employees in order to concentrate on strategic issues decisions. And so on,along with this change, followers and their follower-ship is gradually being in the attention of academic researchers and practicing managers.Follower-ship is a major topic of research in recent years, but the research of related is still in its infancy, the relevant empirical research is more scarce. Existing studies have not answer the question whether the follower-ship of employees have affect on their own performance. The present study is intend to answer this question and study the internal mechanisms of employees influence on their performance.Based on the research and analysis of literature, this paper construct a construction of theoretical model about employees’ follower-ship and their performance. Then, implied the questionnaire survey to collect 237 sample of data. Through correlation and regression analysis, this study ultimate test the effectiveness of the model have build before. The main conclusions are broken down as follows:1) Employees’ follower-ship affect their job performance. The study found that the Employees’ follower-ship have both direct and indirect positive effects on their own performance. The direct impact mainly from employees’ work attitudes, such as proactive,strong execution skills; indirect effects mainly from the up influences to leader in order to get some additional resources to improve the organization and overcome the shortcomings at work, providing innovative ideas and opinions to the leader, and ultimately indirectly improve their job performance.2) Voice behavior and feedback-seeking behavior played a partial mediating role on the relationship between follower-ship and their job performance, it also means that there are some unknown factors which play a mediating effect.3) The impact of employees’ demographic characteristics on follower-ship. The present study confirms that employees’ seniority in the organization will affect the follower-ship positively, but the affect of sexual, age, and education on follower-ship is not so obviously.
