With the new energy automotive industry rising over the world, marketing strategy research of new energy vehicles has become a hotspot now. As the pioneer of new energy vehicles makers, Tesla Motors has created an unprecedented concept of car and also opens up a new segment market of auto. So to speak, Tesla Motors has become one of the most important study objects of new energy automobile market.This paper is based on document consultation and case analysis. Firstly, I get relevant data from document consultation. Secondly, I study the external and internal marketing environments of Tesla Motors by PEST analysis and SWOT analysis to find out its STP strategy. Finally, 6Ps theory is used for the researching on improving Tesla Motors’ marketing strategy.As the new comers of Chinese new energy vehicle market, Chinese car companies need to learn Tesla Motors’ success and face its failure. For this reason, I try to find some valuable experiences from the researching on Tesla Motors so that they can receive the competitive advantages in the marketplace.
