The location of Jin 99 block Dujiatai oil reservoir structure studied in this paper in southwest of Liaohe western slope depression, which is close to Qian 12 block in the north and neighbors Jin 7 block in the south. It is a typical stratiform common heavy oil and mainly are middle-fine sandstones. They are alternating layer and an edge and bottom water reservoir blocked by a fault. Since it started in 1983,its connectivity factor of sandstone on the plane is lower, and vertical heterogeneity and phenomenon of breakthrough along monolayer is serious. Its reservoir producing is uneven extremely. That resulted production status has many disadvantages, such as lower productivity, liquid-producing capacity, lower formational pressure of low permeability layer with poor water injection efficiency, high water content of high permeable layer which has water flooding response. That results the block low in recovery factor and production decline faster. The obvious interlayer contradiction has exposure in the development process. There is a need to study on the petroleum reservoir further, and building elaborate 3D geological model, to conduct a study on residual oil distribution law and puts forward development measure.The study focuses on layer, structure, oil reservoir macro-distribution and different depositional system, which takes geology, logging and earth quack as breakthrough point on the basis of the petroleum reservoir geologic research. The study on the geology takes methods of key bed controlling, three levels comparison, stepwise refinement, which takes sedimentology theory as the guidance on the basis of the cycle, and build an oil field level petroleum reservoir main body frame by conducting whole anatomy and macro-control, which takes regional integration layer of the overall layer, fine interpretation and reservoir distribution as the main line. It determines sedimentary facies type and development characteristics according to petrofacies, welwitschiopsida and electrical symbols, to study sedimentary microfacies and analyzes sedimentary microfacies and distribution rules of sand body combine with the results of secondary interpretation for reservoir logging to build a model for reservoir, contructure and sedimentary facies.The numerical simulation study for the scale of the oil reservoir is based on geological model, and it figures out residual oil distribution law for all sublayer, such as reserves fitting, history matching.the remaining oil distribution mainly concentrates in faults, sandstone fringe, imperfect region of well pattern, poor reservoir physical properties and remaining in-perforation region, and puts forward specific deployment recommendations on that basis.
