At present, more than 120 kinds of endangered wildlife origin from our country, among of them have 257 kinds of emphasis protected wildlife, animal protection is the key to wildlife habitat protection. Therefore, to determine daily activities of wild animals is particularly important. The traditional manual method of tracking wild animals consuming and laborious, but also for the lives and safety of staff caused a great threat, to solve this problem. This article is designed wildlife tracking system that based on satellite positioning technology combined with communication technology.The tracker system obtains wildlife location inTabation by the GPS module, then the data will be collected through the communication module timing transmitted back to the server side, finally, GIS-based animal trajectory display system will obtain data for analysis and display. Main contents are as follows:(1) Designed two tracker, one is based on GPRS/GSM mobile phone signals GPS tracker, another is based on the Globalstar satellite communications systems worldwide GPS tracking device. Respectively MSP430F149 microcontroller, NEO-6M module. DS18B20 sensors and PCF8563 as tracker control unit, GPS module, temperature sensor and real-time clock module. In the communication module, the global satellite-based mobile phone signal and tracker select SIM900A and STX2 modules. Each module through the power circuit and the interface circuit design complete tracker hardware component.(2) Respectively do the research thatNEO-6M, SIM900A, STX2, NEMA protocol and UBX protocol, AT command, serial packet command Tabat. The combination of these commands,The high consumption of electricity GPS module of NEO-6M, SIM900A and STX2 mode are rationally selected in different conditions controlled by the program,and the data of compression and regularly send, most of the time the module is in dormant or power down state, in order to achieve the low power design.(3) The GPS tracker based on GPRS/GSM mobile phone signal to realize remote SMS control function, complete the transmission time interval,data type selection function and so on.(4) The development of the electronic map based on Openscales realizes the basic method of map basic operation, the Navigation toolbar, load, double linkage, layer switching and animal track drawing.The simulated experiment results show, tracker system designed in this paper will be the success of acquisition data compression, and in the Tab of text messages sent to a mobile phone, to complete the wild animal track inTabation and sensor data function, to achieve the design requirements.
