With the rapid development of the economy of our country, the pollutant in the atmosphere is increasing rapidly, such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, environmental problems have seriously restricted the development of society, economy. The atmospheric pollutant emissioning from factory is an important factor to cause the environmental pollution. Along with the increasingly serious environmental problems, Simulation of the atmospheric pollution diffusion emerges as the times require, provides the basis and guarantee for people to control the atmospheric pollution.Qian'an is located in Tangshan City, mainly in the iron and steel industry, With the rapid development of various iron and steel, Atmospheric pollution problems have become increasingly prominent, seriously affect people's health. This paper takes Qian'an city as an example, studys the atmospheric pollution diffusion simulation based on GIS. The research content mainly includes the following parts:(1)Describes the present situation of the atmosphere diffusion model and the combination method of GIS and environmental models at home and abroad.And detaily describes the calculation method and principle of the Gauss model, and introduces the related technology of developing atmosphere diffusion simulation system required.(2)This paper uses Gauss model and the GIS component ArcEngine 10, and integrates GIS and Gauss model with tightly integrated approach. The system makes full use of the data processing function of Gauss model and the spatial analysis function of GIS, the development of atmosphere diffusion simulation system to develop the the atmosphere diffusion simulation system.(3)The data can be divided into spatial data and attribute data, Mainly includes the Qian'an city map, grid data, pollution source data. Using the Gauss model implemens the concentration value computing of grid, and ranks the concentration value. According to the different concentration level draws the concentration isoline and renders the graphics.(4)A systematic analysis of the basic situation of the environmental quality of Qian'an City, and based on the diffusion law of pollutants in different seasons and different kinds of pollutant concentration size etc, and puts forward some suggestions of environmental governance.
