The metallogenic belt of Erpengdian-Wanbao in Liaoning is located in the southern margin of the middle liaodong ancient rift valley, belongs to the composite part of Nafen-wanbao precious and nonferrous metal metallogenic belt and the Yalu river precious metal metallogenic belt.The research area has superior ore-forming condition,abundant mineral resource,and the great ore prospecting potential. This paper is basised on the past geological survey and research,using the knowledge of tectonics?study of mineral deposits? petromineralogy?Geophysics and Geochemistry and combining with the field geological survey to research the copper and molybdenum deposit characteristics of Erpengdian-wanbao, analysis the ore deposit origin and summarize the metallogenic regularities.The Shizhuzi double-granodiorite of Yanshan period is the metallogenic mother rock, the fracture structures in the research area control the output of rock,provide the metallogenic elements'migration channel,the fracture interchange is the favorable ore-contained position. Intrusion of the later vein provides the ore-forming material sources, the alteration function provides the metallogenic heating power. Comprehensive study concludes that the deposit in the research area is porphyry deposit, mineralization is divided into three stages:the before stage, the early mineralization stage and the main mineralization stage, magmatite-tectonic-formation-metamorphism control the metallogenic regularity, the scale of mineralization and prospecting prospect is great.
