As the most important antimony ore producer of China. Hunan province has a large resources of it.For the past few years, plenty of further researches about large deposits have been done, such as Xikuangshan. however, little work focus on small-middle mines.Based on lots of field work,,this paper took Huishuiwan, which is a typical mine with small size,as an example, analysis its geological characteristics,ore-controlling structures and features of distribution;combined with geochemistry, discuss the metallogenic hydrothermal, metallogenic material source, ore deposit types and mineralization model.Accordingly,we have this following pointings:(1)Huishuiwan deposit is controlled by several faults, includes S-N direction ones, NNE direction ones, NW direction ones, E-W direction ones, mainly lies on both sides of the Gaoguashan-Jiangkou Fault.fault F1(part of Gaoguashan-Jiangkou Fault)and Fault F2 are main ore-guided structures of the deposit, which control formation and distribution of the deposit.(2) According to the fluid inclusion study, metallogenic temperature is 224.4? to 270.0 ?, belongs to low temperature liquid deposit. Hydrogen and oxygen isotopic composition of the inclusions in quartz of mineralized bodies indicate that ore-forming fluid are mainly magmatic water, mixed with a small amount of metamorphic water. Sulfur isotope analysis confirmed that the ore-forming materials mainly derived from granite porphyry, also have a small amount of contribution of surrounding rock.(3)The metallogenic mechanism of Huishuiwan is:the first structure activity, rock breaking, silicification, early quartz formation, the second structure activity, quartz vein and rock broken again, stibnite accompanied by a large number of quartz, dolomite and other along the extensional and transtensional structure surface filling, the third structure activity, stibnite by extrusion deformation, strain recrystallization generated stibnite microcrystalline and crushed together, can form stibnite breccia.(4) Huishuiwan antimony deposit belongs to the low temperature hydrothermal filling type deposit.
