With the extensive application of GPS technology, a large number of different periods have been produced at home and abroad, and the GPS net observation data of different scale. In the massive GPS data, how to get the results we want? How to eliminate noise and a priori constraints, how to calculate the data into our new framework and benchmark with our new data to be fused? At the same time, the results of the adjustment of GPS network and the results of the adjustment of the traverse network of the whole station are produced.Based on the above analysis, this paper uses the method of coordinate mode to combine the data of multiple types of data. The test results show that the method based on coordinate mode is beneficial to the realization of the program, which can take into account the priori accuracy of the parameters, improve the ability to resist gross errors, and facilitate the processing of different types of observation data in different periods. The main research contents and results are as follows:(1)In view of the GPS data and the total station data fusion problem, summarized all kinds of adjustment datum, the prior restriction, the prior precision, and so on the information storage question. GPS vector network in WGS-84 coordinates to 3D unconstrained adjustment, the adjustment considering correlation synchronization between the baseline and in the procedures for the storage structure of covariance matrix is not diagonal matrix, but full covariance matrices is discussed. Then the GPS vector network problem of Gauss projection, selection of the projection elevation central meridian longitude, and projection and coordinate conversion of covariance propagation.(2) This paper describes the specific steps of joint adjustment based on coordinate mode, including the removal of a priori constraints, the elimination of the non common parameters, the uniform of the level of the law equation, and the superposition of the normal equation. The adjustment results are output in a unified format, including the reference matrix, a priori accuracy matrix, the initial value of the coordinates, the difference of the adjustment, the matrix of the method and so on. Then the data storage format, read mode, based on the coordinate model of the control network adjustment program of the main functions and the main algorithm analysis, the use of C++ programming language programming.(3) With a self-made program to processing the examples of two groups of data, a group of Guizhou Provincial Daozhen to Weng’an highway Yunpangshan mountain tunnel control network data, including outside the tunnel GPS data and inside Totalstation traverse data. Another group is control network retest data for Xuchang and Yuzhou local railway reconstruction project to the two slot mountain project. Based on the above data, the reliability and applicability of the joint adjustment of the total station instrument data and the GPS vector network based on the coordinate mode is verified.
