Yunnan Dahongshan Iron copper deposit is located in the southwest of Yangtze metaplatform and Kang Diantie copper multi metal metallogenic belt of Southern important part, Kangdian axis is concentrated in China an important element of ancient Zhoutie copper deposit distribution area, over the years is considered to be the IOCG deposits. But due to the weak basic research, typical analysis, the mechanism and related metallogenic time has not yet formed rules of understanding. So choose, Kangdian axis is larger for ore prospecting potential of Dahongshan region to carry out the study of iron and copper deposits, the tectonic and metallogenic relationship, provides the theoretical basis for the mining area depth portion and the periphery prospecting, at the same time as the Kangdian axis of IOCG deposits research provides a typical example of support.This paper is based on the project of Li Jun in Xinping, Yunnan Dahongshan Iron ore deposit, mineralization regularity and the deep prospecting prediction research" project under, many deep tunnel and surface sampling and gallery catalog work. In the previous research results of Dahongshan region and on the basis of mine field and underground investigation and laboratory analysis, combined with the knowledge of the basic theory of structural geology, from the mining regions and folds, faults and volcanic edifice, stratigraphic contact relationship, intrusive rock and other aspects of research on the relationship between tectonic and metallogenic, understanding the main results of this paper are as follows:1. Mine main ferreous layers of Hongshan formation of sodic lavas and copper main ore bearing horizon is sodium tuff man Gang River group, Proterozoic ancient as the main metallogenic period.
