Shale gas as a new unconventional energy, the application of seismic exploration is still very few. The geophysical response characteristics of shale gas have need to be established. Therefore, learning from the advanced experience of Western shale gas development which can help us improve the geological characteristics of China's shale gas geophysical exploration and development system. The existing conventional method attribute extraction method is difficult to describe the seismic attribute characteristics of shale gas. So we are need to investigate and analyze the various parameters of shale gas and study the seismic attributes unique of shale gas. With the numerical simulation of wave equation's help establish a simple geological model, to explore Wave group characteristics of shale gas and analyze the effects of different forward modeling methods and frequency on the response characteristics of shale gas. At the same time, extracting attribute from the various results models, and exploring the most sensitive attributes of the shale gas.And then use the actual data to verify the theoretical model of the conclusions.Utilize the well to well line of Chongqing J research area and verify the conclusion of the geological model. At the same time, extract various attributes of the line, verify the"sweetness" attribute is the most sensitive attribute of the shale layer.Using the actual seismic data through a variety of wave equation for the theoretical basis of the forward modeling, and to increase and reduce the type of participation model, to explore the rule of forward results: With the P-wave velocity model and the density model is the optimal forward method of the shale gas layer, balance accuracy and resolution.According to the seismic attribute extraction technology, exploring the similarities and differences between shale gas "sweetness" attribute, frequency attenuation attribute, seismic facies attribute and conventional attribute. To analyze the sensitivity of different attribute to shale layer. And then quantitatively analyzed"sweetness" with the real log data, find out the "sweetness" is inverse to organic carbon, and proportional to gas content and porosity. This study explores the forward and properties of shale gas, which can provide some evidence for the future study of shale gas.
