Frequency band parameter is one of the most important technical parameters to measure the performance level of moving coil geophone, which is affected by many factors. In this paper, the simulation analysis and calculation work is done to achieve the purpose of improving the band index from the perspective of moving coil geophone structure.According to the structure and principle of the moving coil geophone, the transfer function equation is deduced, and the relevant parameters of the dynamic geophone are analyzed.Based on the theoretical analysis of the vibration mechanics, the reason of second frequency is got.By ANSYS WORKBENCH simulation, the affection to the frequency band is got.The results show that the frequency band parameter can be improved by some methods such as reducing the spring angle, increasing the width of the spring leg, reducing the curvature of the spring leg.In the ANSYS simulation platform, the result of how frequency band is effected by geophone spike and Coupling medium is got by the modal calculation. The results show that the frequency band can be widened by some methods such as increasing the elastic modulus, bottom radius and height of the coupling medium and reducing the density and height of the caudal material. The influence of the spike inclination to the frequency band is analyzed by the test on the vibration table. The test results show that the second frequency declines from140 Hz to 90 Hz,the frequency band declines from 3.11 to 1.8 by the the spike inclination angle increases from 0 degrees to 10 degrees. The results indicate that the spike indication is significantly bad for the frequency band of the moving coil geophone.
