With the development of economy and society,the problem caused by the consumption of fossil fuels is becoming more and more serious.Countries around the world have developed energy strategies to promote development of renewable energy.Wave energy is abundant in sea,known as its wide distribution and high energy density.Buoy-rope-drum wave power device with damping plate,collects wave energy by the relative motion of the buoy and damping plate,and then convert it into electricity.This paper first introduces the basic principle of Buoy-rope-drum wave power device with damping plate.The wave power device is studied from the aspects of theoretical analysis,calculation and design,software simulation,simulation experiment and so on.The main research contents are as follows:(1)Based on the linear wave theory,the motion between the buoy and the damping plate is studied,and the mathematical model is established.(2)The motion responses of the buoy and the damping plate are analyzed by Matlab.Secondly,the influence of generator damping coefficient is studied.Finally,the stress analysis was carried out on the main cable.(3)The damping plate is designed,and its structure which is under static load and dynamic load,is analyzed by ANSYS Workbench software,to check its strength and stiffness.(4)The AQWA software is used to simulate the motion,and the frequency domain analysis is carried out to calculate the response amplitude operators(RAOS)and additional mass.The time domain analysis is used to study the motion response of the buoy and a damping plate under regular waves and irregular waves.The influence of power take-off(PTO)device is studied and energy harvesting power in two schemes of damping plate and non-damping plate is compared.(5)According to the similarity principle,the author designs model test of the buoy and damping plate,measures the speed of the drum,calculates the energy acquisition efficiency of the device,and compares the actual collection power and the simulation value to verify the feasibility of the wave power device with damping plate.
