Guanzhong Basin,which is located between Ordos block and Qinlin gorogenic belt,is an extensional basin with normal fault that formed during Himalayan orogeny.Current studies have shown that:Basin Guanzhong has been located in a special tectonic stress field for a long time since Cenozoic era.Its geological structure is quite complicated and so the faulting evolution,peripheral deposition and fault structures.The basin has long been in a kind of imbalanced subsidence which contributes the thick stratigraphic sedimentation,obvious differences between the north and the south part and complicated changes among depositional environment and lithologic composition.The aim of this paper is to analyze the target basin for further research through not only the existing seismic data,well log data,gravimetric and magnetic data and also outcrop information,but theories and methodologies from the views of sedimentology,structure geology,high-resolution sequence stratigraphy and other subjects.Based on the above academic preparation,the classification of sedimentary facies had been done though the analyses of sedimentary filling features among the target area;the relationship between the features of structural section within target area and the ones of surrounding geological units had been tested;the controlledfaultswas analyzed and so to the petrographic structure;Based on the analyses above,generate 3D geological model of Guanzhong Basin,which tally with feature of the structure of Guanzhong Basin,by using 3D geological modeling software Petrel with the combination of determinacy and randomicity.
