The mitochondrial genomes of the Phrynocephalus przewalskii,P.frontalis,P.versicolor,P.helioscopus,P.grumgrizimailoi and P.vlangalii were amplified using polymerase chain reaction(PCR),long-and-accurate PCR(LA-PCR)and directly sequenced by primer walking. The complete mitochondrial genomes of P.przewalskii,P.frontalis was 16892 bp,17041 bp in size and contained 13 protein-coding,24 tRNA,and two rRNA genes, plus four control regions.P.versicolor was 16429 bp in size and contained 13 protein-coding,23 tRNA,and two rRNA genes.plus three control regions,P.helioscopus,P.grunmgrizimailoi and P.vlangalii was 16249 bp,16455 bp and 17212 bp in size and contained 13 protein-coding,22 tRNA,and two rRNA genes, plus two control regions.?Based on the nucleotide sequence of 13 protein-coding genes, using the method of Neighbor-joining(NJ)and maximum-likelihood(ML)reconstructed the phylogenetic tree of eight kinds of sand lizards in China. The results show that(1)the monophyly of Phrynocephalusv is supported;(2)P.mystaceus is placed at the basal position in the genus;(3)although P.axillaris is oviparity groups in Phrynocephalus,it is more closely related with viviparity groups rather than the other ovoviviparity groups;(4)the evolutionary relationships of P.przewalskii,P.frontalis and P.versicolor was associated with their control region structures of mitochondrial genome, which,to some extent, confirm genetic relationship of P.przewalskii,P.frontalis and P.versicolor. |
