Research On A Low-cost Lightning Location Early Warning System

The occurrence of lightning is a complicated and with effect of atmospheric physical processes, mainly by between the clouds with a charge of each discharge or ground discharge generated, lightning occur instantaneously will usually have a powerful electric, light, sound radiation to the ground, resulting in lightning disasters,lightning disaster is one of the ten the most severe natural disasters in the world,people's life and property safety threat. Therefore, detection and early warning of lightning is more and more important.In this paper, based on the theory of lightning location and early warning, this paper studies and designs a set of lightning location warning system based on the principle of low costFirst of all, this paper studies the low cost subsystem module, and designs the data acquisition module, GPS module and data transmission module circuitThen, the station constructed four station in lightning location system using rectangular arrangement. The positioning module of the second pulse (1PPS) signal and 74HC4020 counter to realize time of each subsystem at the same time, the precision is 0.1 ?s , theoretically making lightning location and the minimum error is 30m.At the same time, the development of the lightning warning system display software, MySQL database is used to store data. The lightning finished a set of low-cost lightning warning system, compared to the lightning locator on the market(such as the ADTD lightning location system) only accounts for the cost of 30%?40%.Finally, experiment was carried out in September 2016 in Wuxi on September,cloud lightning and cloud CG were analyzed monthly statistical analysis and statistical analysis of daily frequency prediction, flash of lightning cloud to use Holt's two parameter exponential smoothing method, the warning time of 10 minutes, the cloud to ground lightning location and lightning warning analysis.
