Mahu sag is located in the northwestern margin of junggar basin,wuxia fault belt in the west,turn the bulge in the south,the east arrived in bassoons bump and salt in the summer of bump,bump with the north quartz beach west sag,things across 50 km,north and south about 100 km long,area is about 5000 km2.Work area is composed of Two fans body,this study of the northwestern margin of junggar basin respectively Mahu sag of Huangyangquan and Xiazijie fan,the Two fans body all give priority to coarse gravel sandstone and mudstone in the fan delta system.With the deepening of oilfield exploration and development work,the core material is more and more rich,at the core of personnel is also more and more.But in view of the northwestern margin of junggar basin conglomerate cores,after no scholar proposed in view of the conglomerate cores sedimentology characteristics description method and the research train of thought,making core observation description there is no uniform standard,it is relatively hard to study.So for the region,which is mainly composed of sandstone and mudstone area background,puts forward a set of coarse grain on the region sedimentary system method to describe the core.In the study described in this article we put forward the system of the conglomerate core observation and quantitative research methods: using computer technology combined with the characteristics of glutenite,focusing on the description of content: the size,color,sedimentary structure,orientation,sorting,grinding roundness,support way,stratigraphic contact relationship,grain size,cementation type,oil,etc.Analysis of mathematical statistics and combining with computer technology,the calculation and analysis on the core description data,realizing automation of sedimentology batch core data quantitative management,concrete can be divided into:1)the characteristics of rock facies quantitative management,provide the basis for the quantitative division of sedimentary facies.2)facilitate undertake stratigraphic section between,between sedimentary facies belt and the fan body,the quantitative comparison between the quantitative parameters for analyzing the mechanism of deposition;3)provide quantitative basis for discriminant fan body internal structural elements.According to the guidance of this conglomerate core description method,Huangyangquan fan in Mahu depression and Xiazijie fan 72 coring Wells to carry on the fine core description,a large amount of data to describe the core,combined with the computer technology and the characteristics of sedimentology of mathematical statistics research methods,completed the core data heterogeneity research,compiled a set of comprehensive and detailed the characteristics of sedimentology analysis chart,in the study area for the exploration of the lake area of provide a more detailed theoretical data base.
