The strate of West Dalongkou Cangfanggou group are divided into Quanzijie formation, Wutonggou formation and Guodikeng formation from bottom to top. According to the research of outcrop profile in the study area, we observed the rock types, sedimentary structures and combinations of features carefully, and we analyzed the type of depositional facies and subfacies, then sumarrized the characteristics of depositional environment. The study area is well-developed, which has abundant depositional marks and obvious characteristics of sedimentary facies. The main typies of depositional facies are fluvial facies, delta facies and lacustrine facies.According to V/Cr?Ni/Co??Eu??Ce?Sr/Cu?Sr/B etc. chemical parameters, shows that the sedimentary environment of the study area is oxidative and it is freshwater lake, the paleoclimate changed from drought gradually turned into wet, then into semi-arid. The analysis of the abundance and combination of REE and trace element indicates that its provenance should be from the upper crust felsic rock and mixed with volcanic rocks, the ectonic setting of the study area is continental island area. Using saturated hydrocarbon GC-MS et al. geochemical analysis testing technologies to preliminary evaluate on the hydrocarbon generation capacity of this set of hydrocarbon source rock by stuying hydrocarbon source rock based on organic matter abundance, type of organic matter and maturity parameter of organic matter et al. index parameters of West Dalongkou Wutonggou-guodikeng formation Xin jiang. The results show that: this set of hydrocarbon source rock with medium organic matter abundance, ? and ? organic matter types. the volution of organic matter has mainly entered the mature stage, and the sources of organic matter are mainly terrestrial plants, at the same time there are aquatic organisms.I summarized the semidentary environment and studied the paleogeography and paleoenvironment of the geological sediments in the West Dalongkou Cangfanggou group, Xinjiang, for offering help to the researchers in the study area working on geological sedimentary.So that it can help us to improve the exploration and development of oil and gas resources in the studied area.
