Data mining is the hot topic in the field of GIS,how to extract efficient data from the massive data is widely concerned by the researchers. The selection of mining methods will play a decisive role in the efficiency of data mining and the reliability of the results. In the assessment of the susceptibility of geological disaster, how to select the evaluation index from the complex influencing factors, whether the establishment of the system is reasonable or not is directly related to the evaluation results. Therefore,it is necessary to select a appropriate method to excavate the influencing factors in the ground fissures and establish the index system to obtain the results of the assessment of the susceptibility of ground fissures, which is instructive to the actual production and life.In this paper,we propose a method of buffer-based colocation to select the evaluation factors and evaluate the susceptibility.Firstly, select representative ground fissures in Weihe basin, and apply this method to the selection of susceptibility evaluation index;then combine the analytic hierarchy process, obtain the susceptibility division of ground fissures in the study area;finally, compare it with the traditional method to establish the evaluation result of the index system, inquiry the establishment of geological hazard evaluation index system effectively. The main contents and achievements of this paper include:1.Summarizes the characteristics of natural geography, meteorological hydrology, topography, stratigraphic lithology, geological structure and hydrogeology in the Weihe basin, and the distribution, characteristics and hazards of ground fissures, through exploration, field investigation and the collection of relevant literature.2.Based at the ground fissures of the Weihe Basin for the research, the influencing factors are generalized into point, line and polygon objects,Taking the earthquake and fault data as an example, the method of combining buffer analysis and co-location,from the theoretical point of view,to determine its role in the formation and development of ground fissures, combined with the relevant exploration data and literature,it is concluded that the fault plays a dominant role in the formation and development of ground fissures, but the earthquake is only an inducement factor, which accelerates the formation and development of ground fissures.3.The susceptibility assessment index systems of the ground fissures in the Weihe Basin are established by means of buffer-based co-location method and the traditional method, and using the Analytic Hierarchy Process to establish the weight function of each factor and evaluate the model, the susceptibility classification is obtained through the grid calculation inArcGIS.The results show that the new method agrees well with the actual situation of the Weihe Basin. And then show the feasibility of using buffer-based co-location method to establish the index system of disaster susceptibility assessment.
