The Development And Applied Research Of GIS In Power Distribution Network

The management of distribution network operation is a complex issue involving the changes of equipment's spatial distribution and equipment's operating status.The traditional management basing on equipment ledger cannot meet the requirements of modern power enterprise,this article discusses the process of developing distribution network GIS application base on Arc GIS Platform.The so-called distribution network GIS,to summarize is to establish a simulated reality 10 kV distribution network in a computer,and put all the equipment which exist in the real distribution network into the sand table,such as the tower,transformers,switches,cable distribution boxes,cables,overhead lines,then Give them attributes and logical relationship,simulate a running distribution network,Through the selection of equipment in the sand table,or simulate the operation of the switch,we can access the 10 kV distribution network equipment's attribute information,the impact of power outages,also through the analysis of the sand table,such as buffer analysis,equipment's attribute classification screening,from the intuitive 10 kV line on the map,we can access to the project basis for distribution network,the scope of external force damage protection division.Firstly,the article describes the background,significance and research status of the subject,and then discusses the types of basic data and its acquisition method which are needed in the developing of the distribution network GIS application.Thirdly discusses the development schemes,the selection and introduction of the platform which are used to develop the distribution network GIS application.Followed by is a detailed discussion of how to realize the functionality of the distribution network GIS application,including database design,the link between the database and graphics,logic functions' realization,com GIS development in VB environment,etc.At last,the article makes a summary and an outlook of the distribution network GIS application which is developed based on the ArcGIS platform.Practice has proved that introduced the concept of GIS graphical management into distribution network operation management can make an excellent effect in visual aid decision making,and it has effectively improved the production efficiency of power enterprise.
