Luoyang is located in the south of the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River in the west of Henan province,and Luoyang basin in the study area is a small faulted basin with a wide distribution of quaternary strata.In the study of quaternary stratum and active faults,the establishment of quaternary stratigraphic standard section,stratigraphic framework and sedimentary basin evolution are one of the important topics.At present,the study on quaternary rock stratum,chronostratigraphy and sedimentary environment is weak.Paper depends on the Seismological bureau of Henan Province and the City of Luoyang Seismological Bureau "Luoyang quaternary strata standard profile to set up and Palaeogeographic research" project,according to the research area 2 standard drilling field drilling logging data in detail and the indoor particle size and sedimentary facies analysis as the main material,a combination of standard orifice results and previous data,to study the quaternary stratigraphic and sedimentary environment in this area has made the results systematically.The paper obtained the following understanding and results:1,according to the lithological and stratigraphic structure,integrated predecessors' research results,the study area in the middle Pleistocene series the quaternary stratigraphic classification,the upper Pleistocene series and Holocene,determine the missing in formation,lower Pleistocene series research area in the middle Pleistocene series both borehole bottom.2,On BK2 hole was carried out on sample particle size analysis of sampling and measuring,comprehensive grading curve,cut point curve and divides the high-energy particle size parameters,such as mean particle size of five types of hydrodynamic energy to low energy(high energy,high,medium,low energy,low energy).Combined with the detailed stratification of borehole drilling,the borehole is divided into seven sedimentary cycles.Different cycle segments reflect different hydrodynamic energy and changes in the study area.3,The analysis and comparison of the formation and sedimentary facies of BK1 hole and BK2 hole indicate that the BK1 hole is between the Luohe river and the yi river,and the corresponding stratum is the sedimentary facies dominated by the channel subfacies,and the stratigraphic thickness is large.The BK2 hole is located on the north side of the Luohe river,and the corresponding stratum is the sedimentary facies dominated by alluvial plain,and the formation thickness is small.Identified two types of sedimentary facies zone of stratigraphic unit and the boundary between the contrast relationship,at the same time,compared with previous data analysis shows that the study area,from center to edge,Luoyang basin upstream to downstream,the formation of sediment and the thickness change is bigger,bottom boundary of holocene is buried deeply 5 to 10 m,upper pleistocene series of bottom buried deeply 60 to 80 m.
