Quality factor Q is the basic parameter in the inverse Q processing and it is one of the important parameters of seismic processing and the reservoir prediction.It is necessary to improve the accuracy and stability of Q estimation.We explain the physical significance of Q,its influence factors and introduce the conventional methods based on the seismic wave attenuation theory including the time domain methods and the frequency domain methods.We tested the applicability by the noise resistance analysis.The centroid frequency shift approach is based on the Gauss spectrum assumption,this problem can be solved by introduce the frequency weight expotional function and the similarity between the wavelet after attenuation and the theoretical assumption is also considered.We proposed the matrix solution method and the two layers fitting method based on the difference between the VSP geometry and the up-hole geometry.The regularization factor is introduced and regulated to improve the stability of matrix solution.In the processing of real data,the proposed approach can get stable and precise well Q curve.We obtain the 3D Q cubic by interpolation and apply it to the inverse Q filter of seismic data.The higher-resolution seismic data after process demonstrates the applicability and stability of this method.
