Resistivity logging is the most widely used method of well logging in evaluation fluid saturation of bare hole reservoir and distinguishing the hydrocarbon layer and aquife.The traditional resistivity logging is done in the open hole.Through-casing resistivity logging is a new logging method for formation evaluation,reservoir monitoring and saturation tracking.It is mainly used to measure the resistivity changes of the casing outside layer,which has an important significance and broad application prospects on re-evaluation old well and casing well,as well as the development of the reservoir in the process of monitoring and the remaining oil evaluation.The Russian through-casing resistivity logging tool has its unique advantages,in recent years it has gained huge success in Russian oil fields and some Canadian oilfield.In 2006,this kind of instrument has been introduced into China.At present,some experiments and preliminary research work have been taken,it reflects good prospect.This article has summarized the basic principles and research status at home and abroad of the casing logging tool.The influence factors of the casing resistivity logging tool are studied.a deep study is also made on the principles,characteristics and affecting factors of the through casing resistivity tool of the Russian ECOS-31-7-150.Improvement suggestions are put forward to improve the success rate and the timeliness of the logging.Finally,combined with the specific logging examples.The instrument application and promotion suggestions are given.
