Offshore floating airport as a practical application of very large floating structure,which can be used as the supply base for planes to enhance the endurance ability in the ocean.The airport does also play an important strategic role in protecting our sovereignty of territory sea from invasion.Compared with the conventional offshore floating platforms,the offshore floating airport's most obvious characteristic is the large structure size.The structure of offshore floating airport is designed in this paper,the structure form is based on semi-submersible type,construction method is modularization,modulars are connected by hinge connector and controllable connector;The connection types are changed according to the different sea state,only hinge connector work in self-preservation sea condition,which allow the pitch between modulars,hinge connector and controllable connector work together in working sea condition,the structure performance rigid characteristic;The frequency domain response is analyzed under working sea conditions and self-maintenance conditions,the results show that the offshore floating airport did not resonate with the waves,it's meet the design requirements;The way of the mooring position is designed,and time domain analysis is conducted,through which the motion time travel curves of the six freedom degrees and the tension time travel curves of the mooring lines are obtained;The strength analysis of floating airport is carried out,which contains strength analysis of overall structure and collision analysis of aircraft impacting the deck when landing,the results show that the maximum stress is less than the allowable stress of the material,it's meet the requirements;The fatigue life of floating airport is evaluated,based on the linear cumulative Miner theory and the S-N curve which is recommended by DNV specification,estimate the fatigue life of offshore floating airport is 98 years.
