Until recent years, Along with further development of new socialist countrysideand the acceleration of urbanization in our country, so the requirements of small townsewage treatment is becoming more and more urgent, but the money were paid is verylittle. So it extremely urgent necessary to find a suitable wastewater treatment processwhich is low energy consumption and low-cost of water yield. Because the biologicaltrickling filter has low energy consumption, And biological trickling filter sludgeproduction is low, so it can save the sludge treatment cost; And it can be used matingwith other wastewater treatment processes when the effluent water can not satisfied withthe standard, so biofilter is the most suitable process for the comprehensive treatment ofthe wastewater discharged form small towns and villages.This experiment adopt the natural ventilation biological trickling filter processingto treat domestic sewage, mainly studies for the removal of COD, ammonia nitrogen,nitrogen and phosphorus in wastewater. This experiment is mainly divided into threeresearch stages: first is the study on the optimum particle size of different pickings,Second is the study of the single packing compared with mixed packing on the effect ofsewage treatment; The last is to study the effect of sewage treatment in two series ofbio-trickling filter.(1) Firstly, select the particle size for6-12mm and12-20mm pumice packedcolumn of parallel comparison test. Test results: the speed of6-12mm pumice fillerhanging biofilm is fast, the effect of biofilm hanging is good, after the success of thebiofilm formation in wastewater, the removal rate of COD, ammonia nitrogen, totalnitrogen and total phosphorus were:70%-85%,60%-80%,40%-65%and13.18%-44.77%. Then select the particle size for25mm and50mm polyurethane fillerpacked columns were compared, the test results: the treatment efficiency of domesticsewage polyurethane filler particle diameter of50mm was slightly better than the polyurethane particle size of25mm filler. The two kinds of particle size of polyurethanefiller in biological trickling filter the biofilm hanging speed is similar, after the biofilmstability of the biofilm in wastewater, the removal rate of COD, ammonia nitrogen, andtotal nitrogen and total phosphorus were respectively:62.41%-81.67%,10%-35%,10%and1.22%-24.32%.(2) This phase test mainly research the single packing and the mixed packingbiological trickling filter. The two biological trickling filter do parallel test for thesewage treatment, draw the conclusion: the clinoptilolite packing biological tricklingfilter to eliminate the sewage in wastewater the treatment effect is better, the removalrate of COD, ammonia nitrogen, total nitrogen and total phosphorus respectively were:72.55%-87.54%, more than90%,72.55%,41.94%-56.54%and3.85%-30.61%.Corresponding effluent concentrations were: COD concentration is50.4-104.8mg/L,ammonia nitrogen concentration is0.81-2.96mg/L, total nitrogen concentration is11.20-31.83mg/L and the total phosphorus concentration is1.80-4.88mg/L.(3) When the two bio-trickling filter series operate the treatment of sewage, theprimary bio-trickling filter effluent COD and ammonia nitrogen concentrations respectivelywere:40-120.4mg/L and9.51-20.38mg/L, the removal rate was61.36%-83.56%and62.83%-79.83%, the secondary bio-trickling filter’s removal rate of COD and ammonianitrogen accounted for5.22%-20.29%and11.14%-36.19%of the raw sewage and theeffluent’s COD and ammonia concentrations were respectively23.2-56.4mg/L and0.27-1.62mg/L, the concentration of COD and ammonia nitrogen in water were very low,respectively with the success rate of more than95%and100%satisfy the “urban sewagetreatment plant pollutant discharge standard”(GB18918-2002)’s level of A dischargestandards. The removal rate of total nitrogen in the Primary bio-trickling filter is22.13%-38.32%, the effluent’s total nitrogen concentration was20.21-51.70mg/L, the totalnitrogen concentration of the final effluent was11.64-30.14mg/L, and the total phosphorusremoval rateis less than10%.
