Petroleum is the country's primary energy sources and economic lifeline, working in security and stability not only relate to the country's economic development,but also maintain national security. However, oil equipments,in particular the oil wells are exposed in the wild year after year, they occur all kinds of tuoubles with the man-made,weather,equipment reasons. The Oil field Inspection is a basic work of ensureing effectual safe working of oil equipments. it is very harmful for guaranteeing the oil system running steadily that some of the existing field inspection methods can not reflect the state of the oil equipments'running in time and truely with the limitation in management and technic. Therefore, designing and developing advanced oil well intelligent inspection management system for detecting problems timely will help to improve security and reliability of the oil system.SCM-based inspection system had been design and implemented in this paper, this system included a host microcontroller MSP430F149, global satellite positioning system GPS (Global Positioning System)module, global mobile communications technology, GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications)module, voltage conversion module, USB interface module, liquid crystal display module, matrix keyboard module. Liquid crystal display, keyboard operate, and GPS, GSM and other module communications function had been achieved based on building the hardware and software.Hardware and software design of intelligent inspection system had been introduced detailedly in this paper. A whole intelligent inspection system had been exploited by useing DELPHI, SQL Server2000 and ADO technology. Poll data collection and system configuration parameters had been stored in the database established by SQL Server2000, the design of various functional modules and user interface had been achieved by using DELPHI compositive development environment.
