Resin and natural rubber have good compatibility. Resin, a reinforcing agent applied in the natural rubber, can improve the processing properties of rubber. Resin can enhance the hardness, modulus and low deformability of rubber products in an amount of3to10phr. But in order to achieve an enhanced effect, the phenol resin (PF), which were widely used in the natural rubber product, must be combined with some hardeners, such as low toxicity hexamethylene tetramine (HMT).In this paper, we use an independent research and development of bio-based self-curing amino resin (HS resin) HS to reinforce natural rubber, analysis on the mechanical properties of natural rubber/amino resin(HS resin) composites. The reinforcing mechanism were studied with nuclear magnetic resonance crosslink density meter (NMR), dynamic mechanical analyzer (DMA), Scanning electron microscope instrument (SEM) and rubber process analyzer (RPA). The application prospects of natural rubber/resin HS/skim/reclaimed rubber composite were also be studied.The natural rubber/HS resin composite were prepared through conventional mixing process. Analysis on the chemical properties and mechanical properties of natural rubber/amino resin(HS resin) composites. When HS resin concent was5phr, the tensile strength, tensile plot, modulus and hardness of natural rubber/amino resin(HS resin) composites were increased. While the tensile strength, elongation at break, tensile plot,300%modulus, and Shao A hardness of the natural rubber/HS resin composite were increased by24.79%,21.02%,33.78%,0.68%and6.06%in the truck radial tire surface glue formulations. Meanwhile the mooney viscosity ML (1+4)100?reduce from67to66, the scorch time increase from21.45min to22.18min, the curing time reduce from13.32min to12.22min, HS resin improved the processing properties of natural rubber/HS resin composite.The mechanism of the HS resin reinforce natural rubber was studied. The DMA results shows that the storage modulus (G') increases, the glass transition temperature (Tg) slightly decreased. The SEM results shows that HS resin reaches thermodynamic compatibility with natural rubber, The NMR results shows that the crosslinking density was increased and the crosslinking chain relaxation time was reduce with the increase of the amount of HS resin in natural rubber. This shows that the IPN interpenetrating network structure formed between HS resin network structure and natural rubber macromolecular network. In order to further improve the application of HS resin in natural rubber industry, we prepared the natural rubber/HS resin/skim/reclaimed rubber composites and study its properties. When HS resin concent was5phr in the natural rubber/HS resin/skim/reclaimed rubber composites, the tensile strength, tensile plot,300%modulus,500%modulus and Shao A hardness were increased with varying degrees. The content of skim and reclaimed rubber can be up to45phr and20phr in the natural rubber/HS resin/skim/reclaimed rubber composites. HS resin was added to natural rubber/skim/reclaimed rubber composites that can improve the mechanical properties. The natural rubber/HS resin/skim/reclaimed rubber composites can solve the problem of shortage of rubber resources and improve utilization value of rubber products.
