In order to shorten the product cycles from development to market and improve the quality of the whole process of product development, the application of concurrent design in injection mold design industry is being used more and more widely. At present, concurrent design used commonly by the enterprises is that an experienced engineer is in charge of the whole design process, from the topology classification, task assignment, to the final assembly model. It depends on the individual designer's experience and judgment ability, which is detrimental to the development of company. To solve this problem, with the funding support from the National Support Project of Science and Technology(2011BAF16B01), the key technologies of concurrent design are studied in this paper.In this paper, the injection mold concurrent design process is deeply analyzed. By summing up the key techniques of concurrent design of injection mold, the management strategy of concurrent design is put forward. The key techniques of concurrent design system are briefly analyzed, including task topology hierarchy division, task assignment, process management and so on.There are not hierarchical relationships between concurrent design tasks, and their associated couplings are difficult to decompose. In this paper, design task nodes are established and information between design tasks is exchanged by fuzzy triples, so that the design task fuzzy structure matrices can be constructed. The fuzzy structure matrix is processed by fuzzy reasoning to get the design task coupled set and topological hierarchy, and to realize hierarchical division of concurrent design.To ensure the efficient execution of concurrent design, concurrent design tasks and design engineers need a reasonable match. In this paper, the designers' impact measurement, design tasks impact measurement and designers-design task correction impact factor are expressed by structural matrix. As for the dynamic assignment requirements of design task, Markoff Decision Process Model(MDP) is carried out to achieve intelligent decision of task assignment.Conflicts may occur at any time in the concurrent design process, so the conflict detection and elimination are very important. The main model framework of parallel design is constructed in this paper. Master model general assembly and sub-assembly levels are generated in the CAD platform and the main data model information is managed uniformly by using the XML file. According to the main model dynamic update mechanism and the bounding box algorithm, to realize the inspection of design conflicts in real-time. In this paper, the main model is used as a bridge of the communication and consultation between designers, to achieve the conflict resolution and collaboration convenience.Based on the above research results, the key technology is applied to the development process of concurrent design of the prototype system in the CAD platform. By examples, the system functions are demonstrated, and the reliability and practicability of the system are confirmed.
