With the rapid development of social science and technology, efficiency becomes an important factor of pursuing productivity effect. In order to improve the productivity effect, machine tools develop in the high-speed, high-precision and heavy-load direction. However in the course of working the problems such as smooth of the work platform, emergency brake loom large. Studies have shown that adding component-clamping device to linear rolling guide can solve these problems effectively. Only several advanced countries such as Japan, Germany master technologies of clamping device and they share it internally, which is not conducive to the study of clamping device in China. It's necessary to research the clamping device.This paper conduct in-depth research on linear rolling guide, consider the principle of braking device, follow the general principle of mechanical design and design a new barometric normal-closed clamping device for linear rolling guide of HTPM. The clamping force and the opening pressure are calculated and the three-dimensional assembly model of clamping device is finished by using SOLIDWORKS. The force amplifier of key components of clamping device is analyzed and designed based on the sine acceleration motion law, and the braking response time of the force amplifier of clamping device is studied.The integral rigidity of work platform which makes of the linear rolling guides of four sliders and two clamping devices is been analyzed, given the rigidity formula of the clamping work platform. According to tribology theory and fractal theory the tangential and normal contact stiffness of the joint interface between the clamping device and linear rolling guide have been analyzed, the rigidity formula and curve have been carried out. The experimental scheme of stiffness have been finished.Based on the need the model of barometric normal-closed clamping device is simplified, the modal analysis of barometric normal-closed clamping device has been carried out by using ANSYS WORKBENCH. The first six natural frequencies and vibration mode are calculated. These achievements prepare the ground for further dynamic performance analysis.
