With the development of wireless communication technology, the wireless hand-held terminals have been widely used in daily life, which will also be widely used in the field of industrial monitoring.In the field of industrial monitoring,hand-held terminals mainly use wire data transmission. This pattern reduces the mobility and maneuverability of a hand-held terminal, and can only realize one-to-one monitoring.In the field of industrial monitoring, the wireless hand-held terminals can provide beautiful human-machine interfaces, as well as improve the maneuverability and editing efficiency. At the meantime, users can check monitoring conditions anytime and anywhere, and one terminal can communicate with more multi-monitoring equipment. This paper takes the example of the tool monitoring equipment, and analyzes the limitations of the equipment, such as operation inconvenience, low mobility and editing efficiency. In order to solve the above problems, a scheme that the wireless hand-held terminal of the tool monitoring equipment is based on Android system is proposed.The main research contents of the paper are as follows. The wireless hand-held terminal of the tool monitoring equipment is developed through analyzing the functionality and performance of the wireless hand-held terminal. According to the characteristics of abominably industrial environment and severe interference, measures to guarantee the reliability of data transmission, namely CRC checksum retransmission mechanism based on optimal channel allocation, are proposed. By simulation, the mechanism improves LAN throughput rate and lowers dropout rate significantly. Finally, the functions and reliability of the wireless hand-held terminal is test, and the results prove that the developed hand-held terminal can satisfy the requirements of practical application.This paper combines wireless hand-held terminal based on Android system with the traditional tool monitoring equipment. The research not only opens up new areas for the applications of Android system, but also improves the operability of the tool monitoring equipment, production and management efficiency.
