As people's environmental protection consciousness becomes more and more strong,wastewater treatment is getting more and more attention. How to operate a WWTP efficiently and how to control the operation parameters in order to get better effluent is urgently to be solved. Compared with experiment, numerical simulation is a simpler and cheaper way to solve these problems. Wastewater treatment is a complex biochemical process,some of the mechanisms and processes need deeper understanding. Simulation operation can help us to understand these processes on a certain degree, also can help engineers to design and operate a WWTP optimized. It's no doubt that numerical simulation has important significance. Based on the activated sludge models and the numerical simulation softwares,this paper build a WWTP simulation model, the author mainly have done the work below.(1)A simple introduction of the L WWTP is made which focused on process,design parameters and operation parameters, we have tested the quality of the aeration tank's influent and the secondary sedimentation tank's effluent to analyze the effect of the WWTP;(2)A numerical simulation model of L WWTP is built which is based on ASM2 d and STOAT, this model can reflect the biochemical processes in wastewater treatment, but the simulation results are not so accurate, there exists inaccuracy.(3) The reasons which may cause the inaccuracy are analyzed. And sensitivity analysis is done on some of the kinetic parameters and stoichiometric coefficients of ASM2 d, then calibrated some of the kinetic parameters and stoichiometric coefficients based on sensitivity analysis and Arrehenius' s equation, the results of the simulation after calibration becomes more exact.(4)The best operation parameters of L WWTP are confirmed by orthogonal experiment and simulation operation,and the model can keep stable operation and get good quality of effluent by a dynamic input.(5)A reversed A2/O process numerical simulation model is built which is based on the L WWTP's structures, and we found that using a reversed A2/O process can't get good quality of effluent, the reversed A2/O process is not suitable for L WWTP.
