China is a country which has both shortage of water resource and pollution induced water shortage. Per capita of water resources in our country is less than a quarter of the world’s average. Simultaneously the drinking water quality of most water sources cannot meet the standards of national requirements. With the country’s economic development, the demand for water resource is gradually improving. The use of advanced technology for water quality monitoring has become an important means of water body healthy controls. so that the development of a wide scope of monitoring, rich scenarios, scalable automatic monitoring technology is the urgent needs of water quality monitoring. with easy maintained and constitute flexible C/S and B/S mixed architecture and database technology,it is easy to meet the above requirement. Simultaneously through advanced software design technology to achieve real-time, automatic and other properties of water quality monitoring,this project can provide support for decision-making.In this paper, the water quality of water bodies is the monitoring object of this project. According to the relevant norms and methods of environmental monitoring, the thesis developed a program of water quality monitoring systems, including the system’s overall framework and monitoring items. Through the analysis of current monitoring system,it comes out that the system needs to come to achieve capabilities such as real-time data analysis, data display, data query, send early warning and so on. Depending on the syste m needs and the current mainstream software architecture,this article choose the C/S and B/S mixed architecture to fulfill the needs of water quality data storage and release. The system realizes the design of client,server and database,with the use of MFC class library based on C++,the ADO database connection technology,and MySQL database server. The next work is specific design and implementation of the system’s each module, main modules are warning module, data analysis module, user management module and GIS information module.The water quality monitoring system of this thesis achieves water quality information storage, processing, publishing a series of processes, can also provide a theoretical guidance and methods basis for similar environmental monitoring systems.
