Based on the function improvement project of 2250mm wide strip steel hot rolling production line by adding Ultra-Fast Cooling system after rolling engineering project of Shougang Jingtang Iron & Steel United Co. Ltd, the Ultra-Fast Cooling system after rolling is studied, and the Ultra-fast cooling system platform is built for comparison. The controlling system?controlling of pressure and precision for cooling water and water flow?tracking of strip steel have?been studied systematically. The main contents and results are as follows:(1) To meet the needs of the after rolling cooling system and contraposes the characteristics of the 2250mm hot rolling production line of Shougang Jingtang Iron &Steel United Co. Ltd, the basic automation controlling system platform is built. The platform aims at the tracking of strip head and tail, high-precision controlling of flow meter for water cooling pressure, accurate sample tracking, and the related characterization parameters calculation and the monitoring function.(2) To make the Ultra-Fast Cooling come true, the cooling system after rolling have been studied deeply. The function which equipped by controlling system have been analyzed, and the constitute of this controlling system have been investigated. Above all what have been investigated provides a foundation for realizing the function of controlling system.(3) According to the characteristic of high pressure water, the Feedback PID control and the coupling controlled of cooling medium method are used to realize the high-precision controlling of tube flow and pressure. At the same time, based on the movement characteristics of strip steel on the roller way of cooling zone, the tracking of multi-volume strip steel of cooling zone are investigated to realize the high-precision tracking of strip steel position and sample. The actual results indicated that the tube flow controlling precision is within ±10m3/h, the pressure controlling precision is within 0.05MPa beyond the target value, and the high-precision tracking of strip steel position and sample amount have been realized.(4) The Siemens Wincc was used to develop the monitoring system after rolling. Based on this system, the controlling parameters?flow and pressure of tubes?live dates such as curves of temperature?calculated dates from the L2 control model have been monitored lively, at the same time, the tests for tubes and modifications of rolling parameters have been realized successfully. The actual applications indicated that the monitoring system can work well, and provide a steady foundation for the temperature controlling of strip steel.
