Billet surface temperature is one of the most important parameters in the steel ind ustry. It can improve the billet quality, reduce the consumption of energy, and be us ed to implement closed-loop optimization control.The thesis proposes a billet surface temperature measuremen-t method for the secondary cooling zone export based on recesse-d radiation. Through comparing and analysing the research on themeasurement method and the equipment at home and abroad, innovation and shortage can be summarized. The research of the temperature measurement eq uipment in this paper minimizes the harmful temperature measuring factors and improves the-equipment practical applicability.To begin with, as a contact temperature measurement method, measure the temperature si-gnal after the transfer by using thermocouple.Analysis the temperature measurement principl-e of equipment based on cavity radiation. Confirm the operation condition of the measureme-nt device according to the characteristics of the measuring object. Through comparing and analyzing, shape of the device can be determined, which is half cylindrical. The core structure is measuring temperature inner shell, which open cavity has to be determined, as well as insta-llation position and the method of thermocouple, and some other details. Then, through thermal equilibrium analysis for the device after determining the shape a-nd size,temperature measurement device can achieve stability temperature after a response ti-me.The surface temperature can be measured by contrast and calibrat-ion. Finally, analyse the heat transfer proces of the measurement device, establish heat transfer equation, determine the load conditions incluing the boundary conditions, apply finite element simulation on the temperature measurement device by using ANSYS based on the entity model., Analyse the affecting temperature measurement factor through numerical analysis. Change the parameters of each factors, compare the temperature curve of temperature measurement points for different parameters, analyse the influence trend and degree on the temperature measurement process and result of each factors, as well as the reason for the change. According to the influence degree and the importance, propose the corresponding control measures or solution.
