The fermentation process of vitamin B12 is a complicated bio-chemical reaction,which features the following characteristics: nonlinearity,time-variation and uncertainty.The performance of automatic control system affects the productivity and the quality of the products in a direct way.This paper,with the fermentation process of vitamin B12 as the research object,adopts Hollysys DCS to finish the design and research of the fermentation process automatic control system based on DCS.First of all,based on the detailed analysis of the fermentation control techniques used in the industry,this paper investigates the automatic control system of fermentation engineering of traditional vitamin B12,and proposes an automatic control design based on Hollysys DCS.The function of DCS including data station,field control station,engineer station,operator station and communication control station,has been analyzed in detail from the two aspects: hardware design and software design.The design of the software mainly covers the design of configuration run screen and the control logic.The software concerning data station,operator station,control station and configuration are also important part of this system.DCS can complete automatically the real-time collection,processing and exchange of the parameters like temperature,pressure and flow etc.Operators,using configuration run screen,can operate and monitor the large tank parameter system,medium tank parameter system,the feed tank system,the alarm system and history curves etc.At last,in view of the great number of the affective elements and the difficulty in temperature control in the process of the large tank fermentation,this paper proposes the fuzzy PID control method based on the fuzzy control theory,and realizes the optimized control of temperature in the process of fermentation.Besides,MATLAB software is adopted to design and simulate the algorithm.The simulation result shows: the fuzzy PID controller,compared with the traditional one,is proven to be more advantageous in controlling the fermentation temperature,thereby realizing the optimized control of temperature in the process of fermentation.As a result,the research on this design,passing the field test,shortening the adjusting time of temperature and increasing the stability and productivity of the fermentation process,can offer meaningful advice and references for the fermentation control design of the same type.
