Design Of Aluminum Coating Thickness Measuring System

As the development of different industries, you will hardly find no industry will not use the Computer numerical control (CNC) machine tools. CNC start from the simplest location-lock function to the one which has higher accuracy, multi-axis, heavy-producing environmental standard functions. These all shows CNC and industries’instruments technologies are non-stop developing at anytime by now. And because of varies customers’ personality operation demands and intense market competition, the researching and developing trend of CNC and of instruments goes to a higher accuracy, higher load, lower energy consumption, higher life span, more comfortable operations and lower cost rail direction.The following papers show the system that will be applied in steel & metal foil engineering industry to measure the thickness of different coatings. It integrates the process photometer or we call thickness measuring analyzer, cooling system, Mechanical switch, slide bearing rail system, engine, power supply, PROFIBUS module and Master. This system will realize the function of catching datum from photometer, and then process these datum in Master and send out all information which required by operators to the next CNC station.Here also comes the constructions from hardware and software. In hardware part you will find the ways to select suitable materials or parts for different functions and their connections way. The different functions required by customers as well as the design concepts for the programming will be presented in software parts also. We will work with different meters, switch or other hardware parts and analyzer until the results comes out, then confirm and decide which type parts we will use for our system. At the end of our project, the whole system will be tested in our factory,later will be operated on-site to make sure it will be reliable and can satisfy the customer.
