With the rapid development of China's automobile industry and increase of car ownership, saving energy and reducing vehicle emissions pollution has become one of the main issues of urgent need to address. The clean engine alternative fuels can not only reduce oil consumption, but also protect the environment. Therefore, the development of superior performance of renewable alternative fuels is an important way to ease the energy crisis and reduce harmful vehicle emissions.Glucose solution emulsified diesel as a renewable alternative emulsion fuel, it can not only reduce fuel consumption, but also reduce the environmental pollution caused by fuel consumption. Hydrogen produced by glucose gasification can optimize the diesel engine combustion environment and improve the performance of the engine power. However, due to poor fuel stability, the promotion of the glucose solution emulsified diesel is seriously restricted.This paper describes the formation preparation principle, method of preparation and the factors that affect glucose aqueous solution emulsified diesel stability. Experiment is designed with Isight software.25 groups of stability test experiments are conducted according to the design. Stability parameters of different configuration proportion glucose aqueous solution emulsified diesel are got. Response surface analysis is taken on the factors affecting the stability. According to the results of the analysis, the value of each impact factors is further reduced. The value of each factor is optimized with iSight software and Design Expert software. The optimal proportion of glucose solution emulsified diesel is reached in theory. The proportion is 82.2% diesel ratio,15%water, which is compounded of 20% glucose,2% compound emulsifiers and 0.8% castor oil. The HLB value of compound emulsifier is 5.58, which is made of 88% Span-80 and 12% Tween-80. (The percentages are weight ratio).Finally, through the engine bed test, the actual combustion test is taken with optimal glucose aqueous solution emulsified diesel to study the economic and emission characteristics and assess its performance compared to pure diesel. Equivalent fuel consumption of optimized glucose aqueous solution emulsified diesel is the same with pure diesel; but the NOx and soot emissions are significantly improved than pure diesel, but the variation of HC and CO emissions is very obvious between glucose solution emulsified diesel and pure diesel. The engine bed test verifies the optimized glucose solution emulsified diesel play an important role of reduction.
