Due to the rapid development of modern industry,a lot of industrial wastewater containing heavy metals posed a great threat to the safety of drinking water.The preparation of a adsorbing material to adsorb heavy metal ions become more and more important.In this study,commercially available corn starch was used as raw material to prepared the cross-linked amino corn starch using compound enzymatic hydrolysis,epoxy chloropropane crosslinking method and complex enzymatic method,epichlorohydrin cross-linking method,sodium periodate oxidation method and ethylenediamine amination method,and to determine the optimum process conditions of preparation of various modified starch.Scanning electron microscopy,infrared spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction methods were used to test the modified starches prepared by different process methods.The porous crosslinked amino starch prepared on the optimum conditions were used to absorb the copper ion to study the adsorption capacity of copper ions.The main results were as follows:1.The optimal conditions of preparation of porous cross-linked starch: pH10,epichlorohydrin content 2%,the reaction time 2h,and the temperature 40 ?.The optimal conditions of preparation of porous crosslinked aldehyde starch: pH2,sodium periodate adding amount 3%,the reaction time 3h,and the temperature 40 ?.The optimal condition of preparation of porous cross-linked amino starch: pH6,ethylenediamine adding amount 3%,the reaction time 2 h,and the temperature35 ?;2.The modified starches prepared in different stages were analyzed by SEM,infrared spectroscopy and X-ray spectroscopy,and the modification results were good;3.The copper ion adsorption capacity of porous crosslinked amino starch was32.55 mg/g,well above results of copper ion adsorption capacity of cross-linking amino starch reported of by other literatures,illustrated that the modified starch posses good adsorption capacity of copper metal ions.
