Preparation Of Cationic Porous Starch And It's Application In Reducing The Harmful Of Smoking

Corn starches were used as raw materials to prepare the cationic porous starches.Modern instruments were used to analysis porous starch and cationic porous starch.Porous starch and cationic porous starch were added to the cigarette filter tips to investigate their adsorption effects on the part of cigarette smoke.The effects of the amount of glucoamylase,temperature,the mass ratio of glucoamylasea and alpha-amylase,hydrolysis time and pH on the preparation of porous starch were studied with hydrolysis ratio(HR)and oil absorption ratio(OAR)as indicators.Based on single factor tests and orthogonal experiment,the best optimal conditions for hydrolysis were determined as follows: the amount of glucoamylase 1.2%,the temperature 55?,the ratio of enzyme 2:1,hydrolysis time 12 h and pH 6.0.The effects of the mass ratio of etherifying agent to starch,the mass ratio of sodium hydroxide to etherifying agent,the reaction temperature and reaction time on the degree of substitution(DS)and reaction efficiency(RE)were investigated.Based on single factor tests and orthogonal experiment,the optimized reaction conditions of preparing cationic porous starch were as follows: the mass ratio of etherifying agent to starch 0.04;the mass ratio of sodium hydroxide to etherifying agent 2.0;the reaction temperature 85 ? and reaction time 4 h.The microstructure of porous starches and cationic porous starches were observed by Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM).The results showed that they both have characteristics of porous structure.The surface of cationic porous starch was slightly broken,but the porous structure was still exist.The consequence of Fourier Transform-Infrared(FTIR)proved that the cationic porous starch has an absorption peak at 1482 cm-1,this is the stretching vibration absorption center of carbon-nitrogen bond on quaternary ammonium cationic group;there is another absorption peak at 2363 cm-1,this is the stretching vibration absorption center of carbon-hydrogen bond on quaternary ammonium cationic group.There are no these absorption peaks in the FTIR of porous starch.Cationic porous starch has been successfully prepared.This is the test reference basis for its selective adsorption capacity.This experiment determined the usage amount of modified materials.Theresults of absorb resistance tests showed that when the usage amount is 15mg/cig,the absorb resistance meet the national standards.Porous starch and cationic porous starch were added to the cigarette filter to investigate their adsorption abilities for crotonaldehyde,ammonia,hydrogen cyanide and benzo[a]pyrene.The results show that the two modified materials both have adsorption abilities,but the adsorption ability of cationic porous starch is better.Cationic porous starch not only has adsorption property of porous starch,but also has selective adsorption property of cationic starch.
