Because of its excellent mechanical properties, low cost and convenient to product, nodular cast iron is widely used in mineral exploration, agricultural machinery and auto industry. Due to the change of the expansion of application scope and applications becoming larger, the quality and properties of nodular cast iron need to be improved. This requirement makes strictly accurate control of the organization and properties of nodular cast iron becomes a problem to be solved. This article aims to detect and control the metallurgy status of original molten iron, to find out a more accurate prediction method for the accurately amount of nodularizer.The system detects and controls the metallurgy state of the original molten iron by thermal analysis. Establishes the mathematical model of carbon equivalent, carbon and silicon content on the cooling curve.The error is within 1.50%, which indicates that the prediction level of the original chemical composition by multi parameter has improved. Use the cooling rate between the beginning of eutectic nucleation and the beginning of eutectic to measure molten iron nuclear capabilities, which can eliminate the influence of degree of eutectic Sc to form nuclear capability, so that it improves the accuracy of the evaluation. Studied the law of nodularizer adding amount influenced by the carbon equivalent,oxygen content and sulfur content, the particle gives the evaluation model of the original molten iron spheroidizing ability. Spheroidizing ability of "level 1", needs to add nodularizer range of 0.85?1.00%; "Secondary" spheroidizing ability, needs to join nodularizer range of 1.00?1.20%; "Level 3" spheroidizing ability, needs to add nodularizer range of 1.20?1.30%. Research the detection method of spheroidizing effect by using thermal analysis-eutectic expansion joint, the evaluation accuracy above 90%. Establish spheroidizing process optimization control system, including the detection unit and control unit. System can automatic transfer and calculate each test parameters of molten state, and issue instructions to control the operating equipment to complete control scheme.
