ASB was a new improved surfactant.It has better lipophilicity which owing to its two hydrophobic long-chain alkyl.This was beneficial to reduce oil-water interfacial tension to Ultra-low magnitude.Due to two amide groups and Sulfonic acid group in the structure,the product has good chemical properties,such as compatibility biodegradability,mild,and low irritation.Diethylenetriamine is used as raw material,respectively with dodecanoic acid,Myristic acid and Palmitic acid reaction,synthesis of three kind of DAE.Then TEA is getted by Methylation reaction of Formic acid formaldehyde and DAE.Finally TEA intermediates are reacted with 3-chloro-2-hydroxy propyl sulfonic acid sodium,synthesis of ASB betaine.Finally the crude samples obtained were purified and characterized by IR spetrum and chemical method.Orthogonal experiment and Box-Behnken results showed that optimum molar ratio of synthesis of DAE-12,DAE-14 and DAE-16 were all 2.1:1.0 which dodecanoic acid,ofis myristic acid and palmitic acid to diethylenetriamine respectively.Reaction consumed 10 h in synthesis of DAE-12,12 h in synthesis of DAE-14 and DAE-16.The temperature were 140?in synthesis of DAE-12 and DAE-14,wihile 160? in synthesis of DAE-16.0.3% catalyst was feded in all of the reactions.Optimum optimization molar ratio of synthesis of ASB-12 is TEA-12 to 3-chloro-2-hydroxy propyl sulfonic acid sodium was 1:1.1,Ethanol to Water was2:1,reaction temperature was 80?.Reaction time was 11 h in synthesis of ABS-12 while12 h in synthesis of ABS-14 and ABS-16.Temperature was 80? in synthesis of ABS-12 while85? in synthesis of ABS-14 and ABS-16 respectively.In this experiment,surface and interface properties of ASB were investigated.The results show that cmc of ASB-12 is 2.04×10-4mol/L,the surface tension is 26.14mN/m;cmc of ASB-14 is 1.86×10-4mol/L,the surface tension is 30.14mN/m;cmc of ASB-16 is1.78×10-4mol/L,the surface tension is 33.24mN/m.ASB-12 and ASB-14 can reduce crude oil/water interfacial tension to an order of 10-4mN/m in a total surfactant concentration range of 0.01-0.15 wt.% at 45?.
