At present,belt conveyor becomes one of the most commonly used equipment for solid material transportation system due to the strong climbing capacity,high productivity,and low cost.However,it produces a large amount of dust when transporting materials.It is the main source of disorder dust generation.The suspended particulates have a negative influence on the equipment operation,human health and environment.Thus,it is particularly important to take effective measures to control dust of the conveyor transfer points.In this paper,the causes of dust generation and influencing factors of conveyor points are analyzed.According to the motion law of dust,an electrostatic precipitator with circulation flow for belt conveyor is proposed.The innovation points of the device are integrated design and cyclic purification under reflux.This method breaks through the limitation of traditional manner that airtight cover is only used for sealing.The dust removal system is greatly simplified by an integrated method that corona wire is installed in the airtight cover and the shell of airtight cover is used as collection electrode,closing and collecting dust simultaneously.Meanwhile,reflux technology is introduced,which can balance the pressure in the discharging tube.The dust removal effect is improved obviously because a lot of fine particles are trapped in the circulating flow by adjusting the flow rate.In this way,the dust at conveyor transfer points can be effectively controlled.In order to study the effect of reflux ratio on dust collection of electrostatic precipitator,the internal flow field of the electrostatic precipitator is simulated.The results have shown that the vortex motion is intensified at the entrance section of electrostatic precipitation hood in the x-direction with the increase of the flow rate.It is beneficial to collect dust because the residence time of the dust in electrostatic precipitation hood is increased.The vortex formed on both sides of the ?-shaped hood in the z-direction can induce airflow into the hood,which have positive effect on dust collection.Furthermore,it is not easy to produce dust re-entrainment due to the lower velocity along the surfaces of ?-shaped plates.The real electrostatic precipitatior with circulation flow is used in this experiment.The lime powder with 4.496?m median diameter is used for the test.The collection efficiency at the different reflux ratio can be measured by changing the flow rate of the circulation fan.The experimental results have shown that the collection efficiency is getting higher with the increase of reflux ratio under a given voltage.When the reflux ratio is greater than 30%,the dust collection efficiency is more than 90%.The electrostatic precipitator with high efficiency has been used successfully in practical engineering,promoting technology progress of dust control at conveyor transfer points.
