Slug flow is an alternation in space and time of long bubbles and slugs,it is frequently encountered in oil and gas mixed transportation. The instability of slug flow raises plenty of safety issues for oil-gas field, such as: pipeline vibrating intensely, separator overflow and accelerating pipe corruption, etc. To ensure the optimized design and safety operation for the pipeline and oil-gas processing equipment in downstream,it is very important to analyze slug flow accurately. This paper takes air and water as media, completes the two-phase flow research using two connection method under a 25 mm main pipe: 25 mm and 12.5mm horizontal radial direction line.Since there are very few research on slug flow in the horizontal T-junction pipe domestically, this research has great impact on the flow characteristics and practical usage of slug flow. The main research and conclusion are:The experiment measures the differential pressure of main pipe and its branch pipe under different Vapor-Liquid phase superficial velocity as well as the slug flow characteristic parameter: slug velocity, slug length, slug frequency. Also it concludes impact from Vapor-Liquid phase superficial velocity to slug velocity, slug length, slug frequency.Vapor phase superficial velocity has most influence on 25 mm radial direction line,it has significant affect on slug velocity and slug length in axial direction line, while 12.5mm radial direction line has similar affect from Vapor-Liquid phase superficial velocity,it has smaller influence on slug velocity and slug length in Axial direction than 25 mm radial direction line.
