There are two problems existing in the processing of stamping in a mint:the blanks are often stacked in the entrance of the stamping machine and the edge surface of the final product is scratched, which decrease the production efficiency and the surface quality of the coin. It is necessary to develop a blank dispersing mechanism and a system of micro-quantity lubrication (MQL) to solve these two problems.The main research contents and achievements of this thesis include:Conceived three different dispersing mechanisms and made a comparison among them to decide the best one and the feasibility of the best mechanism were proved through the experiment. The calculation model which could achieve precise calculation of the lateral stiffness of cylindrical helical spring was established. By an example calculation study, the influences of some parameters like load, length, wire diameter, pitch and mean diameter on the lateral stiffness of cylindrical helical spring were studied and a series of influence curves were obtained. A optimized model for selecting spring was established based on the analysis of the collision between the blank and the dispersing mechanism, and the SUMT was used to numerically calculate the optimized model and the optimum parameters of the spring were obtained, the developed dispersing mechanism was proved working well through experiment. The process of stamping was simulated by use of the CAE simulation software DEFORM, and the stress and the deformation rule of the process was obtained, the main reasons of causing the scratched surface of coin was revealed. A controllable MQL scheme was established and the parts of the system were selected and designed, finally a controllable MQL system suitable for the stamping machine was developed, and the system was proved effective and the scratch on the surface of coin was eliminated.The achievements of this thesis can be used not only for solving the problems of blank stacking in the entrance and the scratched surface on the coin edge surface in the stamping machine, but also for the similar problems of similar machines.
