Syntheses And Catalytic Performance Of The Elements P And Sb-containing Polyoxotungstates

Polyoxometalates (POMs) are a typical and unique class of inorganic compounds which possess charming structure and compositional diversity. They can be used as precursors to react with transition metal and organic ligands to form more new compound with the novel structure. POMs are also a kind of potential and bifunctional catalysts. It can catalyze organic substrates passed through the transfer of hydrogen and oxygen or electrons in organic reactions. Especially, POMs as a kind of bifunctional catalyst, its acidity and oxidability can be controlled at the atomic or molecular level. In this paper, by using Na2WO4-2H2O and NaH2PO4 as raw material, reacting with SbCl5 or 85% H3PO4, we obtain successfully three new compounds with a pot method under conventional aqueous solution conditions. Meanwhile, their Synthesis and performance of alkene epoxidation were also studied.Under conventional aqueous solution conditions, by using NaaWO4·H2O and NaH2PO4 as raw material, using SbCl5 to adjust the pH of the solution, we obtain successfully a Sb-containing open Dawson-like polyoxotungstate:K5H10[SbvO(H2O)(A-a-PW9O34)2]·18H2O (1)It was characterized by single-crystal and powder X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis.Under conventional aqueous solution conditions, by using Na2WO4-2H2O and NaH2PO4 as raw material, using 85% H3PO4 to adjust the pH of the solution, we obtain successfully two P-containing compounds with two{PW7} units:K6Na6[P2(PW7O29)2]·20H2O (2)Cs8Na4H2{(Cs2O2)[P2(PW7O29):]}·14H2O (3)They were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy?thermogravimetric analysis and powder X-ray diffraction. In addition, the catalytic performances of both compounds were also studied.
