In order to study As' speciation distribution analysis, atmospheric particulate matters were collected from nine townships of China northern sandstorm prone area, which were extracted under Various systems, such as exchangeable, carbonates, simulated human lung fluid extraction of As, simulated human gastric juice extraction of As and water solution extraction of As, at last these were detected by ICP-MS method. As a result, for Atmospheric Particulate Matter of experimental sampling points, the determination of As had higher recovery rate, in the a verage recovery was 92.18%; Various speciations of distribution with different sample points were very different, and also the distribution of total As Varies in different regions, amon g which Shanxi Yuncheng tops it with the As amount of 14.8?g/g, followed by east district of Zhangjiakou was 12.1?g/g, the rest distribution are rather low, with the distribution between 2.1?g/g to 9.3?g/g; Seeing from the As' a verage content level, these speciations contents were as follow: exchangeable form of 0.37?g/g, carbonates of 0.32?g/g, simulated human lung fluid extraction of 0.18?g/g and simulated human gastric juice extraction of 5.4?g/g, that of water solution extraction was 0.31?g/g, among whi ch simulated human gastric juice extraction of As was the most, simulated human lung fluid extraction of As was the least, others were almost. In order to study the valence states of As, experiment detected By Ion Chromatography, but which was not enough s ucces, and by ICP-MS with Sulfhydryl cotton separated, with standard addition method, obtain results were As(?) addition recovery 94.22~96.75 % and As, recovery 91.97~103.49 %, the RSD of As(?) 1.07, the RSD of As 3.75, which pro ved that the method was accurate and reliable; in the atmospheric particulate matter the most As(?) content was 608.9ng/g in east area of Zhan gjiakou, Hebei, the least As(?) content was 80.4 ng/g in Xining Huangzhong County town of Toba, Ningxia Yongning County the percentage of As(?) was 82.1%, in contrast was 22.7% in Inner Mongolia Tuoketuo County suburbs, and others were between 25.1 to 72.8, the a verage percentage was 52.3%; As to As(?), the most content was 168.6ng/g in the western suburbs of Shijiazhuang City, the least was 54.3 ng/g in Ningxia Yongning County, the western suburbs of Shijiazhuang City and Inner Mongolia Tuoketuo County suburbs was 71.5%the most of the percentage of As( ?), in east area of Zhangjiakou, Hebei was 20.2%the least of the percentage of As( ?), the average percentage was 43.6%. The abo ve had a lot to do with the environment of each point region, As' distribution different in contents and forms ware related to its geographical location and en vironment, each point content of As was increase with areas industrial emissions, agricultural production and road dust pollution, research methods and results have an important reference value to the toxicity beha vior of As and environmental impact assessment.
