A New Technology Of Reparation Fe₂O₃ Powder By Waste Steel Pickling

The pollution of steel pickling waste liquor is an important problem in environment protection and resource recycling, because of the large steel picking waste liquid, which has big liquidity and great harm, so it is hardly to manage. In order to protect the environment and reduce waste, many domestic and international scholars and researchers are studied for a long time on how to deal with waste acid steel, but there are still shortcomings and the insufficiency. This paper breaks through traditional steel picking waste liquid processing mode, using harmless comprehensive treatment scheme for steel picking waste liquid, Titanium dioxide is the first in the field of inorganic color pigment and Iron oxide is the second. Iron oxide is widely apply to many fields, so this article use the iron steel pickling waste liquor to synthesize iron oxide red.In this paper, mainly use iron steel pickling waste liquor and sodium hydroxide as raw materials, adopting air to oxidize Fe2+ in the iron steel pickling waste liquor for iron oxide, iron oxide red is prepared for by calcining iron oxide yellow. In order to prepare iron oxide red of high purity, firstly, the main ingredients and impurity of steel acid washing waste liquor is discussed. The effects of content of Fe2+, air flow rate,bubbling time on the preparation of crystal seeds have been studied. The effects of content of crystal seed、pH、air flow rate and oxidation-time on the preparation of iron oxide yellow have been studied. The effect of Calcining-time on the preparation of iron oxide red has been studied too. The technology parameters as follows: bubbling temperature is 30℃, initial pH value is 0.5, air flow rate is 1.5 L/min. 120 min later,the crystal seeds are complete prepared. The step of the preparation of iron oxide yellow particles: crystal seed with a scale of 1:3, controlling the pH value between2.5-3.0, using concentrated ammonia, air flow rate 2 L/min, bubbling time 16 h.Calcining iron oxide yellow 2h, obtained iron oxide red. The structure and morphology of the samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscope(SEM) and other test equipment, the products of iron oxide red meet the national standards, its purity as high as 97.3 %.A new technology of reparation Fe2O3 powder by waste steel pickling, which not only fundamentally solves the problems of environmental pollution, and also recycles treasure from steel picking waste liquid at the same time, then, obtaining highvalue-added iron oxide as the economic return and implementing to make full use of resources. the new process is simple and the operation is easy, It is important significance in future industrialization.
