As the main transport equipment of coal mine production, having the title of throat of the mine. Mine hoist is directly related to the economic benefits of mining production. And its security affects the miner and others' safety. With higher automation and more complex system structure to meet the demand of the production and the development of technology, if the mine hoist can not be better used and maintained, combined with the special and poor working environment, it largely increases the probability of system fault. In order to prevent the system failure which may result in great economic losses and the personal safety accident, the hoist system for running state monitoring, fault diagnosis and early warning alarm, etc., has very important practical significance.In this paper, the virtual instrument technology is applied to the monitoring and fault diagnosis of mine hoist system, and a set of operation monitoring and fault diagnosis system based on LabVIEW is designed. The system has the functions of system management, parameter setting, running monitoring, fault diagnosis and the man-machine interface and so on, and the key parts of the program such as the operation monitoring, fault diagnosis, have the detailed design analysis.The system hardware includes:all kinds of signal sensors, signal conditioners, data acquisition card, monitoring computer, PLC and motor, reducer, spindle and other's monitored control object. In accordance with the need of design and installation performance, choose the type of detection sensor and data acquisition card types, and the design of signal conditioning circuit and other equipment selection, etc.This paper analyzes the kinematics model of elevator system, uses algorithm analysis to the steel rope tension and balance, and according to the practical experience and the request of "coal mine safety regulations", designs monitoring parameters and its safety threshold value standard. Using the fault diagnosis algorithm which is identified by the neural network, the paper presents integration of elevator fault diagnosis system based on BP neural network, designs and trains the diagnostic subnet and the structure of fusion decision system.Finally, Construct the LabVIEW experiment platform and carry on the related experiment. With MATLAB and the tool software RecurDyn as auxiliary, test and analysis the design of hoist relevant performance monitoring and diagnosis system in this paper, Experiments show that the design of the hoisting machine monitoring and fault diagnosis system can meet the design requirements, has good performance with parameter real-time monitor display and fault diagnosis and other functions and can meet the needs of the practical production.
