Coal resources in China is very abundant,but high-quality coal resources for coke-making aren't enough,and fat coal and coking coal with good coking and caking property belong to high-ash,high-sulfur coal.This situation seriously restrict the development of coking enterprises in our country.But optimizing the blending structure can expand coal species for coking,improve the quality of coke and increase the yield of chemical products,it can be rational use of coal resources,save high-quality coking coal,reduce costs and achieve the sustainable development of coking industry as well.Therefore,it is important for coking enterprises to reduce blending costs,stabilize and improve coke quality and keep sustainable development by determining blending structure and choosing coal.Shandong Energy Xinwen Mining Group is a large coal enterprise,the fat coal,gas coal,gas-fat coal of which production can be as coking coal.WISCO is a large iron-steel enterprise,which needs stable and high performance-price ratio coking coal to improve coke quality and enhance economic efficiency.Therefore,carrying out optimization study on coal-blending Structure of WISCO with Xinwen coal can lay the foundation for two companies to establish strategic cooperative partnership,combination,complementary advantages and sustainable development.Research analysis of Xinwen fat coal,gas coal and gas-fat coal show that Xinwen fat coal,gas coal and gas-fat coal are high-quality fat coal,gas coal and gas-fat coal which can use to coke.Compared with similar coal,Xinwen fat coal has characteristic with low ash,low sulfur,high caking property and preferably coking capacity;Xinwen gas-fat coal has characteristic with low ash,high Gieseler fluidity degree and good coking capacity;Xinwen gas coal has characteristic with low ash,low sulfur,high caking property and preferably coking capacity.On the basis of coal quality analysis,we carried out coking experimental,the results show that Xinwen fat coal has effect to reduce ash and sulfur and improve coke strength.Xinwen gas-fat coal and gas coal have effect to reduce ash;the three coal have good fitness and have effect to stable and improve coke quality.According to coke quality requirements of WISCO,in the current of coal structural conditions,we may further be appropriate to use Xinwen fat coal,gas-fat coal and gas coal;but the total ratio of not more than 25% is appropriate.On the basis of coal blending and coking experiments,we applied it to WISCO industrial production,the results show that Xinwen fat coal has good compatibility in the blending structure of WISCO,so it can be regarded as the main fat coal.Xinwen fat coal can replace other fat coal on any proportions,the coke ash and sulfur could be reduced,reactivity index could be declined,the strength after reaction and breaking strength could be improved with the increase of Xinwen fat coal,but has slightly adverse effect on the abrasion resistance.Inthe current of blending structure,Xinwen fat coal can be used as the main coal and Xinwen coalmine can be as source base.
