Brass connector has been widely used in electrical equipment, household appliances and automotive wiring harness in buildings. Fire investigators according to fire danger of brass connector, ignition rules and evidence identification conclusion accurate determination of ignition sources and the cause of the fire.It is indicates that there were significant differences in microstructure characteristics of H62 brass connector primary short circuited melted mark and secondary short circuited melted mark and burning melt mark. A short circuited melted mark the transition zone obviously, when melted mark is alpha brass, microstructure for the small size of the dendrites crystal and cellular; when melted mark is alpha + beta two-phase brass alpha phase in beta phase boundaries in the form of acicular structure distribution, acicular needles pointing inside the crystal, and not through the grain. Secondary short circuited melted mark the transition zone is more obvious, melted mark for alpha + beta two-phase brass alpha phase in beta phase boundaries in the form of acicular structure distribution, acicular needle sheet throughout the grain. There was no obvious transition zone in the burned zone, and the molten scar was a two phase brass, and the needle plate was distributed in the beta phase, and the grain size was large.In the actual fire material evidence identification and application of macro morphology analysis and metallographic analysis, identification of fire scene of H62 brass connector melted mark the melting properties.
