In corrosion protection strategy, the protective coating is one of the most economic and effective method, and is widely used. Yet the traditional coating will be because of the inherent gap, or external damage to repair damaged coating protection function. In recent years, the research on intelligent self-healing coatings gradually rise, the self-healing strategy mainly has released inhibitor and polymerize in two ways. Electrochemical oxygen consumption is put forward and studied the anticorrosion mechanism of coating, zinc-rich coating (ZRP) as a carrier of the electrochemical oxygen coating research, design a variety of experimental model, effect on the electrochemical oxygen consumption and its accompanying action done in-depth research.By electrochemical tests, medium pH value test, test medium dissolved oxygen content and ion concentration is characterized by the means of research such as electrochemical oxygen coating to explore the influence of the corrosive medium, the results show that the zinc coating as a kind of electrochemical oxygen consumption, can significantly reduce the content of dissolved oxygen in the medium, and continuously improve the medium pH value; Through electrochemical test methods to evaluate electrochemical oxygen coating at the same time, compared with control group, the electrochemical oxygen coating has better blocking performance and self-healing properties.Zinc-rich coating as a kind of electrochemical oxygen consumption, and its electrochemical oxygen to carbon steel substrate protection mechanism is as follows:zinc rich coating of zinc powder in first occur when in contact with dissolved oxygen electrochemical oxygen consumption, including zinc powder directly from corrosion electrochemical oxygen consumption, zinc powder and the reaction of Fe3+ and Fe2+ indirect oxygen consumption, and with the OH- ions generated by direct oxygen release effect, in the coating defect forming alkali oxygen shielding area, achieve self-healing effect.
